Since August 2008 we have grown from a rag-tag group of diverse women, former rugby players and the newly interested alike, to a State-Ranked Competitive Women’s Rugby Club.
We have bridged the cities of Utica and Syracuse, where our members weekly devote countless hours to practices, games, and community service events including our annual Ruck Cancer Benefit Rugby Tournament.
In the years since our club’s inception, Uticuse has shown its ability both on and off the field by spear-heading the creation of a brand-new eight team league for women’s rugby in Upstate New York and by competing in that same league’s first ever playoff match. Our goal is to make the Uticuse Hellbenders WRC an integral part of Central New York’s culture by providing the area with America’s #1 Amateur sport.
